I have never been a fan of card based rpg combat but BK is definatley an exception. BK is a great rpg, I liked it more than ToS on the GC.

I am currently playing Baton Kaitos as well. This is my second try however. On the first one, the message came up to change discs - GREAT. I was very pleased to make it halfway through the game and BANG - the memory card corrupted (no backup) and I lost everything. I was so sad, it took me nearly 2 years to try again.

I have also played a fair way into Baten Kaitos Origins and like it just as much. They are both in my top 10 favourite GameCube games.

The graphics are good. The music is really nice most of the time. The voice acting isn't that bad, the problem is that it sounds like it was recored in a toiet. It is so echo-y and tinny. Very odd. Oh, and the story is great. I really recommend it if you like card based J-RPGs.

I still look forward to a Wii version and especially a DS version.

Baten Kaitos was very rare gem that only few bought..
I got it as soon as it released in Europe..

Card based combat worked very well..Story was good including few minor drops,voice acting..well read the other post..

Shame that the Baten Kaitos Origins never released in Europe..
