WiiFit doing good but it's not the announced fourth Age that some predicted and the longer Nintendo takes to fix their supply issue the more likely some casual buyers will loose interest in buying it...

That and it's going to be a while before there is a sufficent installed base of the board to support other products....

Isn't that what people said about the Wii 14 months ago?

The wii is in stock at just about every store WW, so anyone who wants a wii can buy one, there is no massive stock shortage like ther was before. By the end of July the wii will have decent stock across all stores WW, this will allow Nintendo to bump Production to 2.4mil for the start of August and have enough wii's WW for the Christmas rush.

The three stores I was in today that had neither Wiis nor WiiFits say otherwise...granted, this is a small subset of stores, but I still doubt your 'just about' every store claim. Evidence? Even anecdotal?

The only place the wii is not in stock is the US, but more and more reports are coming in that the wii is in stock at more locations each week then the prior week. The wii has been in Stock for japan all year, and most of Europe for the most of the year aswell, as of 1month ago the wii has seen stocked stores in Canada. So by the end of july the US will see enough stock.

1) See HappySquirriel's post about Canada.

2) If the Wii is not in stock in the US, then you can't really claim it is in stock at just about every store WW, can you?

3) Believe me, I would like it if the Wii had enough stock to stock America by July... but until it happens, I am making no predictions as to when it will, as every time they are made they are broken by the fact that we still don't know what monthly demand for the Wii is in America, because we still have not seen a month where it was not supply constrained.

I live just east of Toronto and i have been able to buy a wii for over 1month, i don't need to camp out or anything. And kingofwale has stated that the Best Buy he works at in canada has wii's.

Nice one.

At this point Griffin, you should probably just give up.

Repeating year-old fanboy talking points got old a year ago, and after the evidence people have provided you in this thread (see: HappySquirriel, FishyJoe) which you have studiously ignored, coupled with your constantly changing arguments (It's in stock worldwide! I mean, it's in stock everywhere but the US! etc.)

I don't know why it matters so much to you that Wii's are in stock worldwide; is 1.5 Million sold worldwide IN MAY really any less impressive if they are completely in stock?

I never said its in stock WW, i said just about in stock WW. That was my first post.  But after they had filled me in that the wii has fallen down i made no points to argue against them, as i took what they were saying as the truth.  Last time i had checked the Best buy/Future shop they were in stock with over 100 units and were maintaining their supply for the 3 days i was keeping track of the website.

But my other point still stands that reports of wii's being in stock are more abundant then they were last month.  And i have been able to buy a wii for over 1month at anytime i wanted too, and i live just east of the biggest City in Canada, so i had assumed that if stores around this location had wii's in stock then the smaller markets around Canada had them in Stock.

It matters because this is a gaming sales website and we discuss sales of systems and their games.  And i would like to imagine that Nintendo would be meeting more of the demand by this point in the wii's life.  But what i have learned in this thread is that the wii may remain out of stock until 1month after the upped production hits stores.

But i'm also not sure if you are saying i'm a fanboy or not in your post.  I'm not a fanboy, and i just want to make that clear.  I don't care who wins anything, and my lifetime wii predictions are over 2 times higher then my PS3 predictions. Which were made over 1year ago on these boards.

Still no PR spin?

The PR spin will show up tomorow. My predictions:

Nintendo: Boring as ever. Wii continues to sell strong. Strong brand. Wii Fit penetration by nearly a million, Mario kart doing fantastic.

MS: We did top software whoehie! Then some numbers about the amount of downloads and players on Xboxlive and some shameless self-promotion + upcomming games.

Sony: Probably raving on beating MS. Shameless self-promotion of new bundles "that continue dominance".

Koffieboon why are you still up?! Celebrating "Germany"?

*shock* The Wii is in stock!

Surely this must mean the sales will start to plummet because as soon as people can go out and get a Wii they will stop buying it.

The most amazing stat is We Ski at #12. That means it could have beaten or nearly tied Haze with almost zero advertising and with a tiny user base of Wii Fits.

@FishyJoe

thats bad.....HAZE should've just died....I don't believe people who brought it could actually be happy with the game

if anyone is at retail here....is HAZE being returned a lot??

Other highlights from NPD’s May U.S. sales report include:

* Wii™ (675,089 sold) and Nintendo DS™ (452,608 sold) again emerged as the two top-selling video game systems.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
