The gamestop store I went to at midnight had 30-32 people lining up and only 4 bundles... needless to say, the bundles sold out and left a few people empty handed. The store had no LE editions left and 2 MGS4 reg editions unsold.

Not too clever at all. Best Buy as well as most other retailers scan the bar code. You can only return the exact same unit you purchased.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

I bought my copy of MGS4 in a small shop (I'm in Belgium) : they sold tenth of copies on the first day ! And that's a small place.
I was waiting for a good bundle to buy the PS3 but in Europe we did not get anything special with MGS4 (no 80 Go model, no Dualshock 3). So I bought the GTA4 bundle a few days ago, a high def television and I ordered a Dualshock 3 on the internet...
And now I'm enjoying my PS3 : it absolutely rocks ! MGS4 is simply HUGE

LOL. Thanks for the warning though...lets just say that I won't have to scan my copy to have it taken back.
My god sales could be huge.....keep buying people! If anybody in Worksop had any money (and if those who did stopped spending it on drugs) i would be forcing them to buy this game!
