Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Majesco bringing ‘Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009′ to Wii

Why not make another new game for Wii balance board than the usual fitness stuff?

Anyone knows what happened to avgn why his reviews isnt as good as when he was in youtube and why he was making videos with something else? Like do you know whats bullshit(copied form penn and tellers's whats Bullshit series).

Because everyone copies him already, and after the hype is gone the novelty of his videos when he is in youtube wasnt there anymore. So he switch to other things, makes videos other than video game rant he also reviews consoles and peripherals making the character AVGN novel again. He upstream the character itself.

Same goes for Ninty, Ninty already knows the novelty of a fitness game will worn off so maybe in E3 we will see a new game comes with the balance board other than wii fit

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

That should be what most gamers are hoping for. I've already said that I really don't see much purpose in a Wii Fit 2 unless the fitness genre of "games" suddenly becomes a big new demographic. Wait to see how well some of the inevitable Wii Fit concept clones do sales wise before coming to any conclusions.

For 9/10 gamers who bought Wii Fit, the concept of fitness games is the fad. Most aren't going to continue diverting their gaming time to doing Balance Board exercises in six months (or less).

If Nintendo continues to push support of the Balance Board as they well should, Wii Fit will simply become the Wii Sports/Link's Crossbow Training pack in soft title. There is plenty of potential for the peripheral from a game play perspective, but development of quality projects outside of Nintendo will depend upon attachment rates for Wii Fit.
