Are you predicting or guessing/hoping? Predicting would suggest that you have data that tends to indicate this will be so. Guessing means you think it might from your gut. Hoping... well, we know what hoping is. 
I predict that June will belong to sony most likely, but Q3-Q4 will be all Xbox360 in a straight comparison.

I was predicting this back in February or so. And I thought I'd be right until the ps3's sales dropped so low these past two weeks.
I hope it was just because of people waiting for MGS4 or the return of the 80gb.
At this point, I'd say it certainly could happen, but I'm not near as certain as I was 3-4 months ago.
So, what exactly is the story with the 80gig model, release in US?
I thought Sony had canned this for good - is this the "old" 80gig model (with the missing BC bits), or just a 40Gig model with a bigger hard disk? And pricing please?
If this is the old 80gig model, now being sold for the price of the current 40gig model - its a very good deal, and will definitely help PS3 sales. Its effectively a price cut. (extra hard disk + backwards compat for free)

Just came back from my local "mall" (Chadstone), where I picked up two Wii titles for $80 (AU) - very good price (Tomb Raider, and the Victorious boxing game). EB are having yet another "massive" sale - basically every platform... its really crazy actually.
I also saw a customer walk off with the MGS4 PS3 bundle, and a copy of GRID.
EB are flogging the MGS4 bundle pack for only $549... once you trade in a PS2 and SIXTEEN games. :P (I think its the 40gig model though).

cant really see this prediction happening unless PS3 has a price cut and the 360 does not.
They had 5-6 people come in just during my shift tonight asking about the bundle. I kept telling them we'd only get two and to come early. I didn't have the heart to tell them a co-worker is claiming one. :(

Why is the line up superior? Both have very good games coming out, with many of them multiplatform.

I had a look at the recent sales. A trend started mid may 2008 that looks significant.
Total number of HD consoles sold = stagnant at 100k
But it looks like the people who would have otherwise purchased PS3s are now buying Xbox360. (The economic situation starting to kick in?)
Long term, its very good for the Xbox360 and very bad for the PS3 in the United States.

Bahh, the economy is no worse than it was a month or two ago, save for gas prices. It mainly has to do with the fact that the 40 gig is a god awful deal compared to the 80 gig.
