Can someone with a stock Sony drive post how long it takes to install the first part of MGS4? I will post my time here. I upgraded to a 7200 rpm drive and would like to compare the install time.

Its supposed to be 8-9 minutes according to Konami. I haven't tried it myself.

It is 8 minutes, then ranging from 1-3 for each act. I could tell you my times in 13 and a half hours.

Well, it said 8 minutes on the screen but I haven't timed it. You get a progress bar with % and remaining time. Meanwhile, you can enjoy seeing Snake smoking, and read the on-screen instructions .
Between acts is like 3 minutes.

long loading times are completely unexceptable but if we rename them install times i'm happy as a clam to have wait to play. xD

With only Wii and xbox live names in your signature, you can rest assured you won ever have to bothered with load or install times of MGS4.

I like how they tell you the controls while it's loading, I normally take 2-3 minutes just reading all the controls anyway.
8 minutes is fine, i do find anything over 20 to be a little excessive.
