Forums - Gaming - What is your real reason for not buying a PS3? Be Honest now.

The PS3 doesn't have games that interest me. It's really that simple. For me, a lot of Nintendo games are just "must-haves", and that is why I bought a Wii.

I don't have enough time and money for all the Wii games I want right now, so why would I spend money on another console?

Other reasons include the fact that I don't care about HD (especially since I don't have a HDTV) and the price of both the console and games is outragous.

Seriously????? That's what you're going with?

Brand loyalty (to other companies) is the reason the company with the 2 highest selling consoles of all time is losing?

Brand loyalty (to other companies) is the reason the successor to the last 2 generation winners' is losing?


 unfortunately, the world is full of idiots.. so yes, i assume that is indeed what he is going with

Here are my reasons which I've stated before. I have a LOT of PS2 games as you can see in my profile.

1. The Price
2. The games I want aren't out for it.
3. The Wii and DS occupy all my game time.
4. The shoddy PS2 and PS1 I have make me weary of getting a PS3.



Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I have a wife and 2 kids. I have a Wii and a DS and they keep me more than satisfied. I could not justify another system no matter what it was. I really would like a PS3 if I did get another system because I think it will last longer than the 360, but I just do not think that I could go back to playing games on a regular controller. I mean, it is hard to even play VC games with the gamecube controller sometimes.

Hmmm... banned thread creator but an interesting thread all the same.

 

For me there are too few games of interest on PS3 (verus Wii/360) to justify it's ticket price.  I have a brand new SDTV so HD graphics and Blu are meaningless to me for another 3-5 years at least.

Price is definately a huge obstacle.  I don't play enough to justify a purchase and my son simply can't afford it for his gaming tastes.  $400 is also just too much for any kind of gift too.

Games - I'm very content with Wii.  As for my son there's more must-haves on 360 than PS3.

Sony loathing - Loved the PS2 and have no issues with Sony.  They were rather arrogant going into this generation so some humble pie is good for them but I have no ill will towards Sony.  At least, none greater than that towards Nintendo and less than to MS.
