Forums - Nintendo - Attn Multi-console owners: WHo else is giving up on wii?

I own a PS3 and I bought a Wii last week, so no I'm not giving up on it!

@ trestres )

you are hilarious with your "everyone who says something negative about the Wii is a troll" attitude

fact is, that the big nintendo games all have been released and right now there is no information on what's next - these third party games may be good -> very good, but people need more names they are familiar with on the release-list to be excited

I've got all the consoles and I'm surely not going to give up on the Wii, the time I've spent with is way to awesome.

thread sucks on mass levels,

@Lafiel: If you had read his comments on the news sections, you would easily tell he is a troll. Stop talking without knowing what you're saying.

I dunno. Brawl is still yet to come out in my country, but after that.........

  • MADWORLD
  • conduit
  • fatal frame
  • spyborg
  • moster hunter 3
  • fragile
  • tenchu iv
  • call of duty 5
just to name some games :)

If Madworld is the next No More Heroes, I'll be extremely satisfied. Possibly the most fun I've had on the console yet.

Spyborg has potential, but it's going to depend upon the game play, story, the writing, the performances and the humor. If it's going to be an original, quirky title (like Sam & Max preferably not quite so point and clicky), those last factors matter quite a bit. Graphically, nothing noteworthy, but then that's not what I bought the Wii for.

Even if conduit is the best looking game yet for the Wii (which means little to the multiplatformer), unless it's a remarkable FPS game in a very crowded field, it's off my radar.

CoD 5 on the Wii? No point for me. If I don't want to play with a game pad, I'll play it on the PC at six times the resolution/detail. Mouse still trumps IR tracking.

Beyond that, I'm sure Nintendo will have some good announcements at E3.

Until then, my Wii will only be used for Wii Fit. But at least it's now being used every day for the first time since I bought it.

after playing everything i wanted to play on the Wii i find myself wanting more and more to ebay it and get myself some PS3 game money, is that wrong?

Nope, it's your right. Aren't you lucky it's the one console enough people want that you can actually make money selling it used; as opposed to companies trying to cut the price on already unprofitable units in hopes that someone will buy them.

So good bye, we'll miss you. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. The other 27,089,999 of us will try to struggle along without you.

Of course, If you really think you have any idea of what will and will not be coming out on the Wii, you fail to understand how business works in terms of responding to changes in the market. Or how fast developers will dump any console that starts to falter in total sales and momentum like the Game Cube.

 Sorry, but you are wrong.

Nintendo still has

Animal Crossing

F-Zero

Golden Sun

Kid Icarus

Kirby

Donkeey Kong

Zelda

Mother

pikmin

pokemon

starfox

startropics

wario land

Eternal Darkness

Various mario games that aren't part of the main serious , but are decent-excellent

and many more

Also there most likely will be another metroid, and maybe another mario,of course not all of those are big, but why do they have to be big to be a good game? also seeing as donkey kong, kirby, pokemon and zelda are on my list that should be enough to make you quiet about nintendo releasing all of their big games.

So let me fix your post.

I gave up in November 2006. It wins.

Don't be counting Wiiware out yet, people...

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
