Original Legend of Zelda is a walk in the park compared to Link's Adventure, but even that can be completed with a lot of practice, frustration and some luck :)
My personal most difficult experience, it must be fighting Mike Tyson/Mr Dream in Punch Out! That is so near fucking impossible, I couldnt even beat it on an emulator with instant save states. Did anyone here manage to beat him?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES, can't reach the Shredder.
Super Mario Kart, I can't do the first race on the Special Cup 100cc
Goldeneye, the cave level on Special Agent is solid.

Much harder than every F-Zero,Ghouls n Ghost(Goblins) or Ninja Gaiden or whatever other game in existence!It took me weeks to get to the last boss.And back then(1993)i was on my apex of skills when it comes to 2D games.I did not even try this game on the highest difficulty.

Ninja Gaiden on the NES. Talk about a "dial a difficulty" game. Downloaded the VC game and all the memories of frustration this game brought me came right back.
Blaster Master on the NES. Very long game, limited continues. They need to put this one up as a VC game.
