Amazon seemed to have unlimited MKWii since they had it for #1 top seller for a month or something.
.com finally ran out.
.ca still holding onto the #1 spot.
vgc also have it way up top for ww sales.
I thought MKWii wouldn't beat SSBB...

-Brawl still has to be released in EU.
-Why did you think Brawl would beat MKWii?!... The Gamecube iterations are almost tied.

THE NETHERLANDS
It might get close to Brawl, but it won't beat it in the long run.

Nintendo still doomed?

It's hard to tell which one will win, but MK sales will drop off. Question is how well Brawl will fare in Others, since they're really close to eachother at the moment despite Brawl not having been released outside of Japan and The US. Even though it had a one month head start, I think it'll keep it's distance from Mario Kart once it launches in EU.
Not in the least is it decided yet. Through 5 weeks of sales, SSBB is only 400-500K behind MKWii without any Others sales data. Also, If you compare weekly numbers, the US numbers are ahead every week so far for Smash, and Japan is fairly even, so unless MKWii is ahead in Europe by the same amount it is behind in America, then it will be a long time before it really outsells Smash.
I think MKWii will outsell Smash in the long run, but It won't be decided for quite some time.

I think MK will beat it because it's got much more broad appeal. I know of lot of non video game playing people that get hooked once they play MK. I believe MK will have much better legs than SSBB, especially during the holidays.
I don't even consider this to be a serious question.
Mario Kart Wii will definitely outsell Brawl. Just look at the legs for Mario Kart DS. Sure, Brawl could still get Others sales data, but Others has so far been the series' weakest market. If we want to predict sales, it might get a 1.5 million boost from the region. A large amount, but not enough to beat out Mario Kart's greater casual appeal.
Hype vs. Casuals.
I don't know if I'd call it hype vs casuals. More like loyal fanbase vs everyone.
mk wii will outsell it in the end, but brawl will spike above briefly during europe launch weeks

Given that there was a site up for the game months if not a year before the game came out, and the fact that it outsold the previous iterations in Japan and soon America and possibly Others, than I'd say that while loyalty is a part of it, the new buyers are obviously a result of the larger userbase and hype.
