Once again developers are payed a constant amount of money to make a project along with enough money to develop it. Sometimes royalities will be tacked on for quicker completion or something else. Otherwise it's constant.

The publisher makes all of it's money through sales to the retailer. Developer sees none of those profits because they aren't distributing it.

Lol, no. By buying Tenchu 4 I will incentive Ubisoft in localizing great games. By not buying their homemade products, I'm forcing them to stop developing crap for the Wii.

NMH + Tenchu 4 = epic win, I hope Ubisoft becomes a publisher for great Japanese games for me to play, and that they stop developing crap for the Wii.

@Naztips: A boycott is made to achieve a change from the other side, I do not mean to stop buying everything from them. Maybe my boycott makes no sense, I should change it to "Boycott Ubisoft developed games on the Wii". Are you happy now? thanks for the insults btw :)

Yea but boycotts are worthless when it's just a select few on a somewhat popular site. Unfortunately you need thousands not tens.

Well, if that's how you want to explain it to yourself so that you can sleep at night and not be hypocritical, fine by me.  But you're being a hypocrite by buying that game.  No matter what definitions and what excuses you use to be able to buy this game.  

You shouldn't have talked trash on Ubisoft in the first place, and you wouldn't be in the predicament of having to look foolish now.

And even then, clearly this boycott is only in effect when they aren't making a game you want... you should just say you only buy good games.  Then you don't look like a hypocrite everytime you suspend the "boycott" for something else you want from them.  

@DMJ: I will always trash Ubisoft games no matter what, its a sad decission they have to choose Ubi as a publsiher, but I will buy this game to support the Tenchu team, Ubisoft won't be gaining as much as if it was their project, and you know it.

I don't care if they use the money to fund HD projects, they don't need it anyways. X360 is bringing in profit, PS3 sales are abysmal other than for AC.

If no one buys this game, Tenchu team will not make another game again for the Wii, so I will support it just as I support NMH and Suda.

Ubisoft makes crappy wii games. All the good titles , new PoP and Bionic Commardo, are being made fromthe money Ubisoft gets from selling shit on wii. The point of the boycott (i think) is to change Ubisofts cheap ways. That way the wii will see better games. But boycotting all ubisoft games, regaurdless of quality, isnt what we should do. Wii owners need to buy GOOD games, ubisoft or not, and not loads of crap, or less all the wii will see is loads of crap.

If ubisoft makes/publishes a good wii game, i suggest you buy it. Ubisoft needs to know that wii gamers want quality, and the only way for them to realize this is by selling loads of quality games. Boycotting all Ubisoft products on wii will only stop ubisoft from produsing for the wii, and thats not what we want.

This thread is awesome... You couldn't write this stuff! There's going to be so much crow eating by the Boycott Ubisoft people.

People tried to hype this game up since it's the developers of the original Tenchu, and now that Ubisoft is developing it, I bet their collective jaws have hit the floor.

I think I'm going to sit back and watch this all unfold... lulz.

Just a heads up, Bionic Commando is a Capcom title.
