"Facts aren't just words coming from anywho's mouth... I see no proof in your Faith thing and I see no proof that there is a God. People in history has always used the word "God" to explain things they can't understand/don't know. There are still many mysteries in the Universe but it doesn't mean that a Divinity is behind it. People used to belive the earth was flat and no one questionned it until someone found out it wasn't. People used to belive the Earth was only 8000 yrs old or so and it isn't because there are proofs, REAL facts discovered by scientists. If someone can proof me with valid and solid facts that a God exists, I may consider changing idea. But stuff like Faith aren't facts, they're mere delusions created by humans." -lolita

This is what i'm talking about. Fact is the Proof that your talking about. Your not going to see Proof/Fact in Faith, because it is unexplainable. Everyone has a little bit of Faith (many don't realize it) and Faith is used to prove the things that are supernatural and spiritual rather than facts and proof that prove the physical. You call Faith delusions because you can't see what they are proving but my argument is that it is bad to think that way. Faith isn't like Facts at all it is a parallel to Facts, and like Facts it proves things. But Facts prove Physically and Faith proves Spiritually. That's all.

How is it bad to face the truth and see that faith is an illusion and proves nothing at all? How can you consider faith as proof when you can't explain it. Proof is explainable and has evidences. Faith isn't an evidence.

I think you keep missing my point. What do you think Faith is prooving? Faith proves things that cannot be Scientifically proven by facts, Faith is the proof that God Is. We use faith because we cannot explain it. However, Faith isnt (or shouldn't) be used for the physical world, but rather when speaking of God, or things Spiritual. Like a Fact would be the reason of How a Rainbow forms, and Faith would be the reason of Why a Rainbow Forms. Fact is that things die, Faith is that there is life after death. Faith doesn't intercede Fact and Fact doesn't intercede Faith. I'm not replacing Fact with Faith, i'm saying those two should co-exist in a proper Human mind.

There's no evidence in faith. If random person start telling you that they have faith that elves, ghosts and gnomes exist will you start to belive him?

I would of course, have no reason to say that he is 100% wrong. Will i start to believe him? Well, I have no reason to believe that gnomes and elves exist but ghosts maybe. The thing is, Faith is a Fact of Spirituality, but just like Facts they have to be "proven" to be true. The thing is, you can't prove Facts with Science, but you prove it with Spirituality. That's what i believe anyways.

faith causes too many problems.  there are weapons of mass destruction in iraq.  jews are tainting the gene pool.

also logic in faith causes more problems since you explaining something that isnt factual, with something that doesnt necessarily exist.

Is there some higher power? most likely.  is it watching our every move? doubt it, probably just created us or we're an experiment of life.  does the afterlife exist?  who knows, most certainly not us.

I disagree with with the majority of religions, I am an ordained minister, on the weekends, and spare time , I teach people history, truth, science, and all tha tI know. I am also known as a healer, I am constantly busy 24/7, if I can help someone overcome an affliction or whatever, that is what makes a person good/spiritual. I teach about christ, but i do not teach about sins nor taboo's
because the bible is misinterpreted, period. I teach how to unlock your sub-conscious mind, how to be a free thinker, and a better person through kindness, I teach people how to pray the correct way as well. Most religions force their beliefs, and make you feel guilty for anything from pre marital sex to not going to church.
If this was true we all would go to hell.apparently 1/3 rd will be saved, yeah right , how many hipocrits and people using religion as a crutch go go church???
yeah rigth, I know what supposedly 1/3 rd will be saved and the majority got it all wrong, thats why the jews say, WELL be saved, The catholics say WE'll be saved, Christians, We'll be saved.
The earth ids going through a transition and will be for the next few years, we will experience natural disaster, more changes in weather/records etc.

"You can't prove Facts with Science, but you prove it with Spirituality"

Ok here is where I have to jump in. The mere fact that we can be having this discussion is a testament to the power of science. All of the advancements in our understanding of the world and our mainipulation of physical process comes from science. Without an accurate understanding of electromagnetic forces and the world at an atomic level digital computers, the Internet, the electricity that powers all of those things, none of them would be possible. Even you must admit most, if not all, of your daily experiences are explained and can be understood with science. Before Newton, Kepler, and a few others, people had no idea about how to explain the orbits of the planets around the sun, in fact people used to think the Earth was the center of the solar system. But with science and progress we have grown to understand so much more about our incredible universe.

Saying that Faith can prove things is a dangerous game. That line of thinking is responsible for much pain and suffering in our world. If two people or groups have different faiths and claim something is true how can you decide who is right? I am assuming you are a Christian? So what do you say to the Billions of people on Earth who aren't Christian? Who claim that their Faith had led them to different facts?

Ah, everyone should read The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan and try to think critically about everything in their lives.

If you can, and you should, then you must.

I'm going to post a nihilist perspective to counter the atheist's perspective on why Christianity (or organized religion in general) is wrong.

Bear with me, the internet is about to explode.

It has been said that if enough people believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, then, it must exist, and must be true. Or, perhaps, if you are told that a certain type of cancer is now curable by a new-fangled treatment, do you believe it? What is the difference in between these theses? Personally, I can visualize the Flying Spaghetti Monster. However, I have never seen cancer. Now, I've never met an oncologist, but I have been predisposed to believe whatever they might say.

Why is this? Well, for one, there is the fact that I've been taught by my parents and the rest of society that learned people are to be trusted. This situation is very like the situation in Spain during the Inquisition. Peasants were told their entire lives to simply follow the standard of respect of the day, which was to follow the religious leader's authority unquestioningly. Much like we follow the orders of a doctor unerringly. The priest was given authority by God. Medical science is given authority by society.

Also, believing in medical science does not behoove a response. Christianity does. This makes those who are confronted with Christianity to feel uncomfortable, because few beliefs require such a response.

In summary: if you don't trust a priest, think about why you trust a TV news anchor. I can guarantee the guy on "Live at 5" has less experience.

Do you have cancer? If so i will email some things to help Ph your body and raise oxygen so you may kill it.

Also keep in mind if you are on chemo, you need to take astralagus root, as this increases your white blood cell count in between chemo, ands heakl faster. The prescribed white blood cell has side effects, doctors prescribe it because they get kick backs
