It seems not to many people were old enough to experience the last paradigm shift in videogames.
Oh well.
Guess there's a first time for everything.
Was that when the ps1 made a more casual but "mature" market?

No. Sega started the 'mature' market crap with Mortal Kombat.

I'm talking about the NES.Now that was nasty.

Prediction:
Disney will make KH3 with Nintendo.Yes,KH3 will be a Disney/Nintendo crossover.

Last gen almost everyone had a PS2 and almost all the games were on it. This gen almost everyone has a Wii and almost non of the games are on it.

Wii owners feel like every game needs to be on their console.

We do? That's news to me. I've no interest whatsoever in most games that get released, be they on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, or even Wii.

The Bionic Command Petiton, RE5 petition, and countless others say otherwise.

Are there petitions for every game, or just a few games? Those only prove a few games, not every game.

There's more, smaller ones, but my post was to only prove a point.

You don't see PS360 owners petitioning for games on their system, so like I said, Wii owners feel like every game needs to be on their system.

Monster Hunter 3 was a betrayal for moving to the Wii.

Make Fatal Frame IV multiplatform.

Final Fantasy VII remake for PSP, PS3, and PS2

That's just a few, but the fact is that wanting a game on a system is not a Wii only thing, so stop pretending it is. And stop pretending that the fact that the HD systems actually have most of the games has nothing to do with it.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I don't know if Wii owners feel like every game needs to be on their system (I realize you're generalizing here), but there does seem to be an awful lot of ruffled feathers over the fact that many big games being developed for the PS3/360 are not in consideration for a Wii port unless there's a PS2 port.

The assumption seems to be that now that the Wii is the dominant platform in sales, that it should be the dominant platform for development, despite having the lowest hardware capabilities.

It's reached a point where people are now touting the "unrealized" processing capabilities of the Wii as though the games should look so much better than currently, or at least look as good as Nintendo's best first party efforts.

These are typically the same people that believe Conduit will provide 360 level visuals on the Wii. Or that PS3/360 games with rendering resolutions below 720p means that there's only a "minor" difference between 480p visuals on the Wii. Or how great 480p visuals look on their giant HD display.

Did anyone buy the Wii for its graphical capabilities? I didn't.

And what about that Devil May Cry 4 petition?  That one was pretty spicy.

While it doesn't stand up to the ps360, it still has alot more potential graphically than even nintendo are giving it. Just seeing how much mario galaxy is an improvement from last gen running at 60fps without framerate drops is proof of how much more powerful the wii is than last gen consoles. WHile it's nothing compared to the ps360 the wii still it an improvement from last gen.  I'm writing and analysis on the wii's graphics which should be done sometime this month. Make sure you read it.

Add up all the signatures from the five games that you've posted, and they don't even have half the number of signatures for RE5 for Wii petition.

The MH3 and Fatle Frame ones don't even have 200 between them.

RE5  http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?WiiRes5

Bionic Commando  http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?0819

MH3 + Fatal Frame + FFVII (PSP, PS2, PS3) < Bionic Commando < RE5

And the Final Fantasy ones are for wanting a sequel of a game, not a game on a platform, so they should be discounted, but even with them there, it still proves my point.

Wii owners feel like every game needs to be on their system.

@greenmedic88, but the dominant platform in sales and development are always one and the same, and hardware power has never had anything to do with it. For example: PS2, PS1, DS.

The Wii is more capable than the GC, which IMO, had the best visuals of the last generation in terms of lighting and shading. I'll subjectively say Xbox had cleaner graphics (only taking the best of breed on both systems), but then I never played the system extensively.

But that really doesn't matter to me because the absolute best graphics capable on the Wii, despite being better than the GC, will never even approach the best on the PS3/360.

That's not why I bought one, and it's certainly not why I ever use it. Unless something completely off the radar is brought to my attention at E3, about the only thing the Wii will be used for through 2008 is Wii Fit. And that's no exaggeration.

The absolute best compliment I could ever give to the visuals of a Wii game, now or for the duration of its life cycle, will be "That looks very impressive... for the Wii."

It's official. djmeiester is a Wii basher. The number of signers doesn't prove Wii owners want every game. He's just twisting facts.

Race Driver should be on the Wii. Is there a petition for it?

lol!

@ LordoftheKnight

Okay, I suppose you could resort to name-calling since your point was debased...

If number of signers didn't matter, why did you even post the petitions then?
