I haven't played a single MGS game except for the first one. I'll buy a PS3, but not for MGS4.

No and I canceled my pre-order. I’ll get it on the cheap. As for the bump for GTA IV, no, not a hallow statement at all. It really hasn't done much for the console and what is more is VGC numbers are whack considering there NPD predictions for the month and there UK numbers where the 360 has actually outpaced the PS3 in the last 5 weeks according to ChartTrack. Doesn’t add up at all.
Well, I'm not buying one FOR MGS4, but I'll be buying one in about a month, and MGS4 will be one of the first games I'll buy for it. Haven't decided on what the first will be yet. The first thing I'm buying with it though is the BBC version of Planet Earth on Blu-ray.

Well, that's just choice.

There's a reason to get the BBC version in specific. The Discovery Channel has cut out over 50 minutes of footage from the BBC version, and uses Signourney Weaver instead of the vastly superior David Attenborough for narration.

Wait, I think you misunderstood the definition of "choice."
I plan on buying the MGS4 bundle 6/12 if I don't chicken out and jump on a 40gig earlier. I won't be buying it for MGS4 however. Infact i'll end up selling the game online/trading it in or something and just keeping the bundle so I get a decent deal on an 80gig.
MGS is a series i've played but not one that i'm crazy about. I'll probably end up grabbing a copy next year once they release the special edition. Or if for some reason they decide not to do that anymore i'll just pick up a used copy.

Yes, I have the Planet Earth BBC. And I do admit David Attenborough is better, but he puts me to sleep sometimes. Sigourney Weaver also had commentary describing how impossible each shot was and how this animal or that animal had never been filmed before. Which was nice. David Attenborough doesnt do that.
But the BBC version is obviously the one to go for. Do they sell the Sigourney Weaver one?
Either way... look into buying your blu-rays on Amazon if you hadent already made that choice, as they are way cheaper.
I got Dan in real life for $15.
Thats a deal, compared to the $30 at Best Buy
I am buying the bundle (not the limited edition one).
