As long as people are willing to wait in front of stores for hours on end to pay $250 for the Wii, Nintendo is going to let them. They'd be fools not to.



Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Nintendo doesn't need a price drop for another like 18 months, assuming the demand dies down by then or something. Before a price cut happens, they could make the Wii in more colors. That will boost sales for a little while I think, especially if its bundled with the Wii's best games, that would be a good plan. After that dies down, BOOM!, price drop.
