Far Cry 2 is definitely one of the most interesting games in quite a while. What's the best is that it's coming on PS3. Not that I would be getting it though since I'll be getting the PC version if my PC can run it. I really hope they'll release a SDK as well although I doubt it. At least every version is going to get a map editor which is excellent for consoles.

Wait, Wii's not getting it? No, I can't get it then. It's worse than a crime not to port such an easily-ported game.

Also, Assassin's Creed seems kinda interesting. Hope to play it some day. Conviction sound nice as well but it's on X360 so I'm not going to be able to play it ever or very soon at least.

It's kinda rational for them not to release such 'hardcore' games on Wii. After all, Wii's mostly a casual console although it does have some 'hardcore' gamers as well. Not all may like it (personally I'm not a friend of that kind of business either) but they have a good reason to act this way.
If that is ture then why did 1 out of every 128 wii owners buy their casual games? Oh do hardcore games sell more on the wii? If you look at this thread you will see http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=28196&start=0. That is a fallacy that the wii is mostly casual.

Well, they've already given us GRAW, Assassin's Creeed, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and, I look forward to HAWX and the next Splinter Cell...

PS3 sales would disagree with you about any of those except AC being any good.  Only one has even cracked the 500K mark.

Oh, I don't agree with the PS3 comment, but I agree with his sig comment about good HD games that Ubisoft is making.

The PS3... is another story.

I'm with Zen here, I just don't see why this issue has blown up the way it has, and why some fans of HD consoles feel threatened* by the fact that some Wii owners want quality support from Ubisoft.

*I'm not too sure what's the appropriate word, but for now threatened seems adequate. Heck, even if you're annoyed by the amount of attention the subject is getting, try to put yourself in the shoes of the other person. I find that a better way for dealing with the issue than just mocking them.

@OP

I'm not really down with this whole "Haha, Wii fanboys, Ubisoft treats us well so we love em because we hate you." and then when confronted I see the "Who me!?" act.

Fanboys acting like children. That's the kinda stuff that gets you owned in Internet arguments with smart people.

Ok, so Wii fanboys are allowed to be angry at Ubisoft but I'm not allowed to praise them because they are making great games for the system I own? Ok that's fair.

Well, actually, yes, and here's why:

You're praise doesn't exist in a vaccume. You aren't praising them because you "love them" or else we'd see these kinds of posts all the time.

You're praising them to piss Wii-fanboys off, because you are obviously upset about how they have acted towards Ubisoft(who you probably like).

In doing so, you "praised" them in an arrogant way. You didn't just say, "I like Ubisoft." You actually related love towards them for supporting the PS3 and by inference, for not supporting the Wii. Your topic might as well have been "Thanks Ubisoft for not supporting the Wii."

There is no question that you are a PS3 fanboy. You admit this, I assume. So, by nature, like cats and dogs, you hate fanboys of other consoles, and their shannanagins.

Hence, you're not an innocent bystander.

You know that this post isn't simply going to praise Ubisoft. If you did, you would be making posts for companies that develop games much better and more frequently than Ubisoft.

This post isn't a Ubisoft praise, it's a spiteful Nintendo-fanboy war declairation.

You have the right to love and hate any company you want.

However, you don't have the right to make posts on this forum that have behind them the soul purpose of inciting drama and anger in owners of a specific console. At least unless you disguise it a little bit like the slick fanboys do. This isn't disguised, it's blatant flamebaiting.

I've just told you and reported the OP once. That's as far as my involvment will go. I don't wanna get into a debate about this.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Sales don't make a game good.

Ah, but the thread isn't what is signature was about.  Maybe it's just me, but i can't think of an Ubisoft developed game I actually like.  To be fair i haven't played Assassain's Creed.

When I do eventually pick it up I may pick it up since it seems to be on sale for pretty cheap being a "love/hate" game.  It's still one of the most common gamestop games i see.

The Tom Clancy games are just meh... Prince of Persia I haven't liked one of those, even before Ubisoft was making them... and the Rayman games always felt like 3rd rate platformers.  Rayman quickly earned the uncoveted spot of "Non-hard CD cover."

The Naruto looked pretty neat, but i haven't played it either.
