Forums - Gaming Discussion - I am suprised at what the best metal gear solid gme is on gameranking.com

Metal gear solid for the gameboy colour is the best metal gear solid game. Has anybody ever played this? I have never even heard of it, but still with a score like 95.922% after 18 reviews it sounds like I should know about it.

BTW, the title is just a localized one. It's actually an alternate continuity game called Metal Gear Ghost Babel. I haven't gotten too far, but it's pretty good.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I played that way back when it was first released, and yes it's pretty good. At this point it probably hasn't completely aged that well, as most GBC games haven't. IGN has a thorough review of the game which I feel is fairly accurate of my opinion on it.

Never heard of MGS on the gameboy..
Note that the avg. vote is only 7.2, and that the avg. votes from the others are way higher

Also playing DotA2 beta!

Yeah, I own it. Marvellous game, not sure if it deserves as high a score as it has (compared to other games), but it is cool.

You have the walking in cover, and wall-covering and such, but the graphics are below standard. It had a bit Zelda feel to it, and the Gameplay was kinda like in the original Zelda, but with a bit more strategy. The AI was also surprisingly good, but I was very young, so I didn't have much of an idea.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Considering what it pulled off, on a platform that gamers weren't expecting much from, Metal Gear Solid was a great GBC game. It was not Metal Gear's finest hour. And thus, the flaw of Game Rankings/ Meta Critic are once more revealed.

I'm going to help you out there. MGS for the GBC plays and looks like the old Metal Gear titles on the NES. There are many changes to the formula to make it more familiar to Metal Gear Solid players though.

mgs4 can do better

Can do better what? On the graphics and gameplay side, the GBC game has MGS4 beat. Just look at all the grey in MGS4 and all the vibrant colors in MGS Ghost Babel.

What? What game is of the standard of the Gameboy Color, and why is this game below that?

And I mean technically, not any subjective opinion of the artwork.
