Recent rumor tells that Nintendo is bringing new Wii to the Market..

Is this does the new model includes more storage space for VC and Wiiware games?

Also rumor suggest that new Wii can play DVD??

I've been waiting for a few days for someone to post this here.

It propably includes the storage solution Iwata was talking about. Let's hope we, current Wii owners, get a storage solution too.

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Would this entice people who already own one but want more storage space on the Wii to give their Wii to friends or relatives and they will buy a new upgraded version. Don't think it will happen but i can see the logic.

It doesn't make much sense to me... Iwata said they're not cutting Wii's price in order not to piss off current owners, how would this be different?

Bringing in new sku's is a desperate way for companies to boost sales, Nintendo is in no need to do this.

 Yea cause there was never i revised Snes no wait there was and the DSL that's not a new SKU oh wait it is and oh look at that both are Ninty products that didn't need a boost in sales but nonetheless were released...... way tosleath troll the PS3/360.

Well, by the time the Wii got the jackets for the Wii mote, this Wii was also introduced as "new SKU".

Maybe it is just an internal update (smaller chip size, other Wifi chip) or changes like that. Could fit the "We up production" thing, maybe they optimized the internal things of the Wii right away (yes right, to make even more profit).

Maybe it is a new bundled game, or a second Wii mote in the pack. But I don't think so.

Maybe it is new colors. (Could also fit the higher production, maybe the new units (600k/month) come in a new color.

It would make sense for them to make a little spur sales effect thing in Japan and EU, since the Wii is not selling "astronomic" but good, but their getting more profit in both theritories (compared to NA) for every Wii sold.

It does not make sense in America, however.

Thats all I can think of, DVD playback support will not come.
