Forums - Nintendo - Wii Fit just did something VERY weird...

Wii Fit's full of little things like that, as are most Nintendo games these days. Pretty much ever since Animal Crossing, they've been big on pulling a harmless prank or two on people out of the blue every once and a while. There's other little subtle things that change from time to time in Wii Fit that you might notice too, if you're particularly attentive.

haha awesome touch Nintendo.

I suppose I DID beat him in the pushup challenge, but that was after the lazy lout took a break to go smoke or something.

He was back in the next exercise, BTW.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

I've seen this once so far. Looks like a randomly generated variance.

I love these little zings in Nintendo games. It proves they have soul.

It was a fun "hey, what th?!" moment, but more comments from the trainers in general would be more useful.

They say the same thing over and over which makes me very aware that it's computer generated monologue.

Now this leads to a very interesting question about WiiFit 2.

Idea: The fitness trainer gets paid by success, meaning the better you reach your goals, he will be paid more. He could develop a real personality - workaholic who drives you on like crazy and tries the best possible things for you. Or maybe sometimes when you reach your goals he gets boozed and comes in with a headache/ drunk next time. he might even invite you over for the party. you bring the peripherals, he the beer/ girls and games.

His home could change depending on how good he trains you. He might even be able to afford buying a PS3 in the end. The coach in wiifit pointing out: "look, just got this ps3 on payday. thanks for reaching all your goals, great job." would be a blast.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

This also happened to me today. For the subsequent excercises however, my original trainer returned.
