Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Some 360 and Wii stats based off MetaCritic.

Give PS3-numbers, then we'll discuss.

If you only count EXCLUSIVES 95 and up, Wii has 1 and 360 has none.

And saying the 360 has a more diverse line-up is a joke, unless you mean a more diverse line-up of shooters.

360 has nothing like Galaxy, Wii Sports, and Wii Fit. Those 3 games alone make the Wii the most unique game library ever. You've got the most revolutionary platformer GAMEPLAY-WISE of all time, the most revolutionary motion-controlled sports collection of all time, the most revolutionary balance-measuring game controller and exercise program of all time.

Hahaha, no matter how you spin it, Wii is still the platform of choice this gen, and the 360 had a whole extra year in market to get those games.
Remeber most of the big projects were planned for PS3 and 360, no one believed the Wii would succeed.

Now Wii is starting to get 3rd party support like it deserves and good games will start arriving. Also WiiWare just launched, which means XboxLive arcade has a 18 month extra lead in which they released a lot of games which are cheap and fast to produce and can score very well as we saw.

I know the HD consoles will get a lot of good games, but the Wii will get more good games and at the same time more crap.

Or RPGs. The X360 is the main RPG platform in this gen.

And once you're done playing those...you move on to 360 who has the most diverse library of games that are not revolutionary.

I don't think it will be like that for long. Japanese developers can't ignore the wii's large japanese install base. We are already seeing rpgs in the form of Tales of Symphonia, Fragile, King Story, FFCC:CB, etc.

All I have to say is that Wii Sports will no doubt go down in history as one of the most significant videogames in history, not to mention just this generation.

It is almost solely responsible for most of the fanboy anguish today since it is without a doubt the biggest wii system seller ever.

It got rated in the 70s.

Rating system = broken.

 That's an interesting point.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the review system is broken. I'm going to go out on a limb here and compare Video-gaming reviewing with Movie reviewing. Wait? Need I say more? Perhaps I do, so I will. From time immemorial, the truth that what movie gets the highest score has very little impact on what movie makes the biggest bucks has been universaly accepted. This has to do with the fact that the 'upmarket' movies (the movies that demands a lot from the consumer) reaches upmarket customers, and that reviewers are most often found in this group. Downmarket movies (the ones that do demand very little of its audiance) do not appeal to the reviewers, but they do appeal to the great masses. Therefore reviewscores play a much smaller role in how succesful a movie is compared to the impact they have on games.

Since Nintendo has reached new downmarket consumers, the market situation is probably shifting towards looking more like the movie-market.

I might be wrong. It might just be that the games on Wii are so much worse than those on the 360. Then again, whether a game is good or bad is entirely up to the consumer.

Can somebody compare the first 18 months of 360 games to the wii games.
