I remember playing this on the SNES (or NES?) and saw some online videos.

Question:

1. Can you use the normal (NES) controller and not the Wiimote?

2. Is the "shadow" of the pills removable?  That is, in the old version, it doesn't show you where the pill will drop, but in the videos I've seen, it kind of shows you a "ghost" pill.  I personally think this sucks (i've seen ghost pieces in tetris too) and takes away the skill, not to mention that it is distracting.

3. Does it have the 2 player competitive mode (like in the old game)

 If yes to all these questions, this will make me get a Wii.

If someone who actually owns Dr. Mario can answer this question, that would be great.

2. Yes you can turn the "capsule shadow" off from the settings menu.

If it is quite like the old game, then the wii would be the next purchase. (and my friend gets to keep the Dr. Mario for himself) -- unless he can "GIVE" the Dr. Mario to my new (future) console.
