Well, there's Crisis Core which is a prequel, so who knows maybe someday there will be a sequel..... for the PSP.

I don't see why they wouldn't remake it. They have remade I-VI. It wouldn't cost as much as making a sequel and it would take less time. Also it would sell millions.

My brother lent my copy to one of his friends, and that guy lost it. Months later I insisted he should demand his friend to buy me a new one (the guy was that irresponsible). In the end his friend bought an used copy on ebay, no booklet, no case (my FF7 had all that) and when my brother gave it to me it turned out it was FF8! That dummy brother of mine didn't even make sure he was getting the right game! Grrrrrr. I didn't have FF8, but it's not like I wanted to own that one.

Square can't make a new game as good as Final Fantasy VII. They've botched up DoC and AC so now it's just time to recreate the original.

They made games and other media all centered around FFVII and they were pretty much mediocre. A remake is their only option left.

 Yeah, I had one shortly after launch.  It disapointed me heavily, so i gave it away shortly after the crossdressing scenes.

After a while thought I might if just given it a bad rap since it came after 6, and 8 sucked.  So I bought it again.  Still didn't like it, gave it away.

Then I got it a third time, just to play through it all the way since it is very popular game and i'm a fan of the industry as a whole.  After that i gave it away.  

Hah, if i ever decide to give it a 4th shot and get sick of it again i'll keep you in mind.  The exchange places by me have wised up though.  I think their FF7 was somewhere between 40-60 last time i was there.
