Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy Agito XIII cancelled?

Okay, how about a FFVII port?

I'd kill for that. Same Graphics, same everything, just make it on the PSP/PS3 and we'd be cool.

So you wan't to see the character or soul of FFVII get killed Kasz, cause those scenes you call silly partly define the game, and the cross-dressing at the Wall Market is hilarious and the dialogue throughout the scene is comical as hell. Those scenes are part of FFVII's identity, you can't take them out.

''Hadouken!''

And FFVII has no 'modern fanbase', the fanbase consists of guys like me that of course also love those scenes, maybe especially like those scenes. Or do you mean the moder Final Fantasy fanbase?

''Hadouken!''

had me worried for a minute that this was an important game, such as FF13.

This is a piece of shit spinoff.

Those scenes don't fit with Crisis Core or Advent Children. That's the thing... the more modern fans who are mostly fans of FF7 through the sequels and games like Kingdom Hearts would likely find such scenes stupid. (I'm not sayin i agree. I'm just saying it'd change things.)

Think of for example. Batman.

Compare an Adam West Batman era of comics to later versions of Batman comics. They just don't make sense as the same person.

If you consider that killing the soul of the characters in FF7... Advent Children and Crisis Core have already killed the soul of the FF7 characters.

I mean the mordern FF7 fanbase.  Like Leo-J, and others who have never played FF7, yet still consider it the best RPG ever... people who love the more "bad ass serious" versions of the characters that appear in more recent sequels and prequels.

This is actually good news if it turns out to be true. Now Square can focus on the more important games.

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

I understand what you mean, but Crisis Core and AC differ from VII in a very important way, and that's those editions where new and left room for maybe a slightly other tone, where VII already exists and changing scenes from VII self in a remake would be just unacceptable and nothing less than betrayal. And the differences in time and age between the earlier Batman's, West is from the '60, and the later ones is much bigger; it goes from from the '30 until the 21th century. That's from before the second WW, through the Cold War, and past that, and it's still alive. I just can't imagine Square change the scenes that partly made FFVII what it is and what it is loved for.

lol.. you can't take those guys serious as FFVII fans when they haven't even played the game. And they might actually like those scenes you are refering to; you never know.

''Hadouken!''

Oh man, the more I think about this, the more absurd and crazy taking out the seriously genius Don Corneo and Honney Bee Inn scenes at the Wall Market becomes. I wouldn't even know what the whole purpose of the Wall Market would be without them. So I'm sure it won't happen. And I also can't think why those wannabe FFVII fans, that you call modern FFVII fans, wouldn't love it.
