Tri-SLi with GTX280 whats the like $2000 with tax?
The insane thing is some people in this world would actually do it too.
world record 3Dmark benchers comes in mind.

I think the typical extreme high end pc from Late June forward will include.

2*GTX280

Vista 64 because who wants 2.5gb of ram in their mean machine.

4gb ram+

Core2Quad 2.66ghz+

Or

2-3x Radeon 4870 1gb

Intel motherboard.

Actually I wonder if 3x Radeon 4870 1gb (The ideal number for best scaling) will compare favourably to 2x gtx280 with the bonus that you don't have to use Nvidia chipsets!!!!

hey I just noticed that card's length isnt too long a la 8800GTX/Ultra.
Its gonna be a power hungry monster tho...make sure your PSUs can keep up.
while nVidias high-specs are nice, I think the power/performance mid range value is where ATI shines.
If I didn't already own a 8800GTS512MB, I would probably buy a HD48x0 card.

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

i just got computer that will be able to play crysis which i have always wanted to try,so i cant wait

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

I'm not even going to go there...

Updated.

GTX280 price increased to $649 from $600

GT200 is a 65nm revision

GT200b coming Q3 is a 55nm shrink with almost certainly higher clockspeeds and lower power requirements.

Why get the ugly obtuse card now when you can wait a while and get the refined version? :)

If it grinds console gamers gears to have a console come out 4! or 5! years later then im sure we can feel agrieved at a refresh only 3 months after release.
