The 360 is the top selling next generation console in Europe?

Uhh, even discounting the PS3 (numbers are disputed), we still have the Wii, DS, PSP...

Since Peter Moore left, Shame Kim seems to be the lone PR manager, handing out bullcrap statement after bullcrap statement.

It seems they are talking about WW figures and also just UK figures where GTA360 outsold GTAPS3 by 20%. Now we look at Sony PR.

SCEE has been using the same methodology for the last 10 years or so."

 This is interesting, they are including every other market apart from NA and Japan in which they claim to outsold 360. Well what to believe? I think going by latest figures of shipped consoles PS3 is 6.15 million units behind 360 so we should wait another 2 months before we can be sure of anything.


The definition for Europe was pretty strange. Next year North-America is in Europe too and by 2012 Antarctis is part of Europe. Russia is often counted as part of Europe, so that's ok. So it seems that 360 still has the lead in Europe, since the numbers were 360 Europe vs. PS3 WW outside of Americas, Australia+NZ, China and Japan. Edit: I believe the PS3 numbers are pretty much in line with VGC:s current 5,66M Others number.

Im more inclined to believe Sony, as Microsofts spin and PR crap has been getting increasingly desperate lately.

Who can forget the infamous 'weve hit 10 million hardware sales in america so weve won baby!' (ignoring the fact the Wii will overtake it anytime now despite...yes, the 360 having another huge headstart....

Microsoft refuse to disclose harware sales, because they know they are beaten, but because they are ahead in software they are quick to throw out the 'attach rate' bullshit and boast their software sales.

How embarrasing to be overtaken in europe despite a 16 month headstart...

THe PS3 is selling more in all markets ,including UK ,and has already surpassed the 360 in all the markets except Uk.No debate here.

I'll debate it, simply because statements like that strike me as trying to avoid a debate. 



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
