Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo announces E3 conference timing

"Nintendo has revealed that its annual E3 press conference will take place in the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday, 15th July at 9am PST, which is 4pm BST unless we're being stupid."

"However, Nintendo Germany issued a press release earlier today (cheers Kotaku) adding that the company will not be at Games Convention in Leipzig a month later."

"Following the E3 Media & Business Summit 2008, Nintendo will start a nationwide roadshow to also inform its media and retail partners as early as possible about the newest games," Nintendo Germany's Dr. Bernd Fakesch helpfully elaborated.

nationwide roadshow? Are they running for president?

Reggie for president !

I hope they do something like Cube Club again with demos of Disaster, Fatal Frame IV, The Conduit, and a bunch of others.

@Resident_Hazard
Me too! I always thought that was pretty clever advertising, not to mention tons of fun.

I suspect they may not be going to Leipzig in order to give third party publishers and opportunity to show off their games without distraction ... Nintendo knows the power that their presence can have on the media (and customers who are paying attention), and that a 30 second clip of an unnannounced game can put many high quality third party games into the shadows.

interesting... Now I REALLY wanna know what will be at E3 from nintendo

Kodak Theater? Wooot!!!

I attended both of the CubeClub's when they did them.  Unfortanetly, the Eternal Darkness demo was pretty bad and left a bad taste in the gamer mouth.  I was blown away when I saw the game that it actually turned into (still my #1 game of the last generation).  CubeClub was great because it gave you hands-on time with so many games, and I got hooked on Pikmin at the first one.

The second CubeClub kicked ass because Nintendo had "21 and over night" with free Guinness and Smirnoff Ice.  I was pretty buzzed when I left there and hit on the hot Korean chick I worked with at Toys R Us even though her boyfriend was there.  My friend and I played through Resident Evil 0--completed the train derailment section and started in on the corporate mansion.

This just seems like a no-brainer for the Wii and DS since getting hands-on time with the things is the biggest selling point.  Annoying that Nintendo has a Nintendo World Store in New York and not one near where I live--the Mall of America would be a perfect fit for such a place.  After all, we have a whole Lego world and the Nickelodeon theme park.  Sony and Apple have dedicated stores everywhere.  Be smart for Nintendo to do something along those lines.

so 9 AM PST is California time?
