I attended both of the CubeClub's when they did them. Unfortanetly, the Eternal Darkness demo was pretty bad and left a bad taste in the gamer mouth. I was blown away when I saw the game that it actually turned into (still my #1 game of the last generation). CubeClub was great because it gave you hands-on time with so many games, and I got hooked on Pikmin at the first one.
The second CubeClub kicked ass because Nintendo had "21 and over night" with free Guinness and Smirnoff Ice. I was pretty buzzed when I left there and hit on the hot Korean chick I worked with at Toys R Us even though her boyfriend was there. My friend and I played through Resident Evil 0--completed the train derailment section and started in on the corporate mansion.
This just seems like a no-brainer for the Wii and DS since getting hands-on time with the things is the biggest selling point. Annoying that Nintendo has a Nintendo World Store in New York and not one near where I live--the Mall of America would be a perfect fit for such a place. After all, we have a whole Lego world and the Nickelodeon theme park. Sony and Apple have dedicated stores everywhere. Be smart for Nintendo to do something along those lines.
