okay, i am not sure how i can make that anymore clear......

...i am not sure very many people would sit down to PLAY a game and enjoy multiple 90minute sequences. and skipping the sequences would leave you without a much of a story, which probably isnt too appealing to many either.

well, maybe the cutscenes aren't actually 90 minutes. no reviewer would give a game 90%+ with those kind of scenes.

Okay, I'm relieved that it wont have 90-minute cutscenes, but even 45 minutes is still unacceptable for a modern game, so I still say that my previous point is valid

Why should all games be generic ? Uniqueness is good in my book.

y'know though....some people really enjoy cut scenes and would prefer not to see them go extinct just because some of you guys deem it beneath you. Hell I watched tons of Xenosaga without playing, and I loved it.

 I agree.  Lair was unique too.

So, like I said, there were no "ninety-minute" cutscenes...

 Cutscenes need not go extinct but in MGS they are overused, especially for an action game where normally developers have plenty of opportunities to tell you story without them.  Also, I think if you are JRPG fan that doesn't like cutscenes you are a truely endangered species.
