Nintendo is releasing 3 new colour variations for the DS Lite soon. They will be green, turquoise and red, to be added to the already available black, white, silver and pink. Nice and dandy, I'm sure they'll sell tons.

What I found interesting is how these colours are EXACTLY the same as most of those available for the latest generation of iPod Nanos.

Also, the colours are very similar to the colours the Wii was unveiled in back in 2005, when it was still known as the Revolution.

Nintendo does seem to be following Apple quite closely with their designs, Especially the DS. :p I wonder if we'll see similar colours for Wii in the future..

The new DS variations will be released June 13th across Europe.

Damn, the red and green ones look cool. I'd like to get a green one for myself and the red one for my gf! Too bad I don't live in Europe, though. I wish they would release them in Japan or the US, so I could get one!

That grey one looks pretty slick, not a huge fan of the green though, stick out like a sore thumb (i.e for thieves).

One thing I've always wished for the DS lites, and it'll be particularly noticeable on the new colours and it is noticeable on the black, gloss on the inside. I thought the black (sans the finger prints which are wipeable) was sweet, opened the inside, looked like a cheap piece of plastic (obviously it's not, but...), which was a shame because the outside looks better than the white (which is what I have).

Damn, the red and especially the green one look gorgeous! :D

Jeez I want another DS =(
