Forums - Nintendo - So Wii Fit, what do you think?

Trying to rate Wii Fit by the old standards is silly. So let's go by the new standards.

Classification: Self-Improvement
Functionality: Well Above Par
Demographic Appeal: Huge
Entertainment Value*: High
Lasting Appeal: Enormous
Learning Curve: Intuitive

Overall: Useful and Fun

* - Entertainment value is rated according to the target demographic at large.

When I was looking at it this morning, it looked like the line was at 30 that it went from overweight to obese.

Are you sure you were reading it right? Maybe you saw a line above your current weight and if you cross that, it would be obese, but you were most likely in the overweight area. Try zooming out, or did it actually speak the word obese?

The cutesy voice did say "obese" :P

So it's probably just age, I think the BMI is meant for people over the age of 18 or something.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Clearly your balance sucks. Luckily, you have Wii Fit and helping your balance control and posture are the whole point of the game!

Good luck!

I totally kick ass at soccer and the ski jump and the marble game, but I suck ass at slalom so far. I'm just about to unlock the bubble game today, booyah.

If you look at the chart I posted it is the BMI chart for people under 18. So if 27 is still Obese that means you are about 15 years old or younger.

Page 13 of the manual says the BMI is inaccurate if you're under 20 or super muscular. So don't worry about it. As long as you're getting a little more exercise than usual, you're a little healthier than usual. And if you're having fun exercising, then it should be easy to keep up. Work on the balance games. They get funner and crazier on the advanced levels, and they'll trick you into getting even more exercise.

I have now had it for a month (I'm in the UK) I have only missed 3 days of training. I am real motivated to do it every day I have unlocked all things now and opened most things to the next level or 3rd level.

The Step Boxing is great. The push up challenge has shamed me as it used to be something I was good at but that's when I was a fitter younger man.

Over all I am loving it, can't wait for we Ski next month.

My biggest complaints are the balance games. They seem totally off.

I found most of the balancing games easy when I use my body as a analog stick .  Most of the games  in Wii Fit are very simple which gets boring fast.

I can't see how you can "get bored" of Wii Fit unless you bought it for the wrong reasons. As a motivative, fun way to do a bit more exercise than you might have done in the past it works great.

The whole idea to training is repeat moves to become either stronger in a mussel group or more flexible. The idea of a score board and unlocking more advanced levels keeps the gamer side of me coming back, but in the end I like the idea of getting just a bit healthier. I play 30 minuets a day I can't really get bored in that amount of time with anything.

As for the issue on how well it works I find it spot on for accuracy.

I still haven't got Wii Fit so...

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

VERY Disappointing imo..

I was looking forward to it so much....but it turned out to be boring & crap.
