I  am starting to see why sony moved  back their own FPS (KZ2) to 09.it's a wise move ,,,this year PS3 is flooded with shooters(not that is a very good thing)

 There are also rumors about the crytech dev team that is also bringing another FPS for this holiday (which will be announced at E3)

but imagine if KZ2 would also apear on PS3 this fall,,,there would have been atleast 6 big shooters in 3 months of fall.

I remember in a interview some dude said 2008 will be are year and every title will be out for the PS3 that was delayed...something like that he said. I forgot what video it was.

I think it was a interview with one of the developers. It's sad how PS3 software just keeps being pushed back.

After looking at the rep Haze has built and how it kept being pushed back. I'm failing to believe Killzone 2 will be any good.

But I will wait for this game. I liked the first one, so its worth the wait. But Haze and Lair were utter failures :(

Bioshock will help the PS3 out but not how the Xbox 360 version did :(

bioshock was one game that made me want a 360, now i may never get one.

Unless Killzone 2 is supremely brilliant (which is very unlikely), the wealth of shooters on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will have made it look like just another generic shooter by the time February rolls around.

Yeah.... that was the reason why Haze was also delayed...

They didn't want to compete against CoD4 and Halo 3 

KZ2 does not want to compete against Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2. So the delay was expected. 

The developers of KZ2 did not want that game to compete against the juggernauts: Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2. Two shooters on PS3 within a couple of months and with the 360 game in the same month of PS3 R2 (November) Would of been disastrous for the PS3 titles, sales would of been adversely affected.

I m not arguing about the quality of KZ2(it might be bad ,,it might be good ,,no one knows) ,,,I m just saying PS3 is getting too many shooters this fall:

Soccom
Bioshock
COD5

how many shooters do we need in 3 months of fall?

if KZ2 was there it would have been too many FPS and not many after 08 which is not a wise management decision(like 360 this year,,,,they got lots in 07 and not much this year)

I think there would've been enough room as I don't care about bioshock, far cry 2 and probably some other shooters that i'm not aware of that would join those two on the list. BF:BC looks cool but the two shooters I want the most are R2 & KZ2. Whenever they decide to release KZ2 i'll pick it up.
