Sports titles just are more of a PS3 360 owner thing.
You love NFL, you get a expensive hdtv to watch the super ball in HD, you buy the game well i doubt you wil be choosing the wii version.

Thats true but my gf who never owned anything but nes wanted to buy the game. I told her to wait since 08 is coming so soon. It will be interesting to see how the 08 sales are now that the wii is even more ahead.

To be fair, let´s wait till Madden 08 sales. This time, the game will be released simultaneously, and Wii controllers are now proved to make it a better experience. And it seems people don´t get it...stop using sales numbers as a guide, what counts are the profits, and checking that numbers, it´s prettyy obvious 360-Wii-PS3.

If we are going by profit wouldn't the wii be on top since its a port with tacked on motion controls? I mean, I think the development costs to get the graphics the way they look on the 360 would be much higher.

I think some sports are better suited for the Wii. Football, basketball, soccer may not translate as well. Hockey, baseball, tennis, golf, boxing seem like natural fits for the Wii control system.

aint the wii version a PS2 port, PS3 version is a 360 port.
so if the porting cost the same, the profits are bigger on PS3.

Well he has a point about 08 though. That's the first time the versions will be completely different. Read the Wii Madden 08 features revealed. It includes online play, mii games, and a bunch of other unique Wii features (including the VERY well reviewed control scheme).

The Wii version was built from the ground up, as will the next version.
Why did the Wii version not sell as well as the PS3 version? I can think of two reasons, one has already been mentioned, that the Wii had a more diverse line up at launch.
But the big one is online. Considering that it was missing one of the main selling points, the Wii version did pretty well I think.
