oh my god that graph is hilarious. seroiusly its as if they write these things solely for the comic value of it. there is no way someone can look at that graph and not just laugh. i must say the 360 and wii parts of the graph are pretty good. but ps3 graph just defies reality beyond even a diehard sony fanboy's dreams.
end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million, 360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million
Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus
Proud owner of wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, dreamcast, n64, snes, genesis, 3DO, nes, atari, intellivision, unisonic tournament 2000, and gameboy

Not sure if I have commented here yet, but here goes.
Hi, I am TWRoO. And I have a drinking graph comprehension problem.

Can somebody make that chart into a chart/table with yearly sales? I'm too lazy myself, but it would be a lot easier to really see how weird the predicition is then.

2011 is a slight aberation on the graph. 2012 just falls back in line with the curve.
It's almost as if they decided a total amount first, then made a chart with a nice trend line. But when they looked at it, they realized that it was a perfectly smooth curve, so they added a small amount to 2011 so it wouldn't look like they did it deliberately. But they failed anyway. It's obviously a load of crap.

It would take too much of my time and many paragraphs for me to say all the f*****ng things wrong with that graph, the analysts statements, PR spins, flawed logic, and the unbelievably blind belief that this graph has ANY sense of credence. You don't have to be a Wii60 fanboy to see how retarded that graph is in this day and age. To see how far we are into the console "war" and then they post this up is..... let me stop.......*I'd curse too much*
As for lifetime sales, let me kick it to you straight:
(By End of Generation)
WII:80+million
PS3:39-44 million
Xbox360:32-37 million
I'm giving PS360 a break with that Wii number.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
| Year | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 |
| XBox 360 | 10 | 7 | 11 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 2 |
| PlayStation 3 | | 10 | 13 | 19 | 19 | 27 | 22 |
| Wii | 20 | 22 | 30 | 20 | 9 | 5 |
Sad.
