Forums - Nintendo - IGN gives Wii Fit a 8.0 WOW WHAT HAPPENED to core reviewers these days?

That's why you are not a reviewer but a mere troll.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

The lastin appeal was their highest score, that is all good news.

I expect an 8.5 average for this game, but it will prove that scores mean nothing once it outsells many 9.0+ titles by a long-shot.

It's a pretty good review, but I don't agree with the 5.0 on graphics, they know darn well the Wii series games aren't aimed at looking realistic, and "repeating" instructions to often? Nintendo knows grandma and grandpa are going to be playing this game, its a MUST to include repetative instructions.

And why can't they be both?

They CAN be both.. but they just aren't. Why? because nobody likes to work out. I should rephrase..

People don't typically like to work out on a video game system in front of their tv.

I am not saying wiifit wont sell, people will buy it...and here's why........

they should come out with wiitaxes, wiinutrition, wiihomework.. ridiculous sounding I know.

But no more ridiculous than wiifit, they are all offering activities that people feel as if they should be doing, in a "fun" way. People feel like they should loose weight.. instead of being serious about it, go ahead and buy a video game!

So what is my point,  Wiifit will be sold like crazy, but it will only be enjoyed initially- in the same way a workout is enjoyed.

̶3̶R̶D̶   2ND! Place has never been so sweet.

well good. They decided to rate these type games on the basis of the audience they are intended for. As it should be, however, they should be categorized as such as well.

Do you have any reason to think it isn't fun other than because you don't like working out. Let me quote IGNs summary;

"Great fun and a great workout at the same time."

Clearly they disagree with you, and personally I would take their word as they have almost certainly played it more than you.

If Wii Fit had gone with realistic graphics I think it probably would have gotten a bad reaction from the populace at large. Nobody wants the gritty realism in an exercise game. I honestly would mark it down for good graphics but thats just my opinion.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Where's the sweat pouring off the trainer (should be the gym smell as well)? And why aren't those panda heads bloody and some protesters against using an endangered species?

And the storyline is nearly non-existent. If not completely missing.

Only two things it has going for it are that it's fun and a good exercise.

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

One part of review says it all.....

Lasting Appeal score is 9!

@ yushire Well the Wiifit review is pretty straight forward they thought the graphics and sound were pretty meh and had issues with the bmi. However they seemed to like the game play and they thought it had very high lasting appeal it seems like a pretty fair score doesn't scare me away from the game or anything.

"They think I'm crazy, but I know better. It is not I who am crazy, it is I who am MAD!"

"Bolshe, luchshe, I kruche"

8's a great score. Its nothing to complain about.
