I've never tried LAIR, so I can't say.

Kane & Lynch wasn't a masterpiece by any means.  The objectives were unintuitive at times, and certain segments were frustrating (like that damn killdozer part).  Other than that, I thought it was pretty fun.

Co-op is hella fun, too.
