Forums - Microsoft - I got my 360... any co-op games I'm missing here?

Ordered from Buy.com with a $10 discount and free shipping. $388 to my door for a premium.

I bought Gears, Crackdown, and GRAW2 using the 3 for 2 on used games at Gamestop/EB.  Plan to use the same special in the next few days to get:

Still want/going to get Viva Pinata, Samurai Warriors Empires, Table Tennis, Burnout Revenge, Kameo, Blue Dragon, Rainbow 6: vegas, and a handul or so Xbox originals -- i.e. Halo and such...

I ordered a logitech play link.

I still need an extra controller but that's about it.

I can't wait....

I'm interested in LOCAL i.e. not online co-op split screen games. Action/RPG or whatever. Any suggestions over what I have above?

congrualations on your purchase. theres earth defense force 2033, Perfect Dark Zero(not that good),GRAW, and more .Gears really fun but i was really surprised how fun Crackdown was. Also Viva Pinata was really fun. A

EDF 2017 is a must-play co-op shooter.

GRAW 1/2 has some co-op missions. Not a full campaign though (still fun though).

Rainbow Six Vegas is the same as GRAW 1/2. It does, however, have much more missions for co-op, as every mission is from the normal campaign + extra missions.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance has GREAT offline co-op play. Yes, it's like the PS2/Xbox versions, with better graphics, but is very very fun.

You have all your great 2p sports games, if sports games are your thing. All the EA games are 2p, Forza 2 has arcade racing with 2p. TDU does as well, I think.

The Outfit (probably $9.99 new by now) has a 2 player offline/online co-op campaign. VERY fun combo shooter/RTS game. Certainly a good buy.

I'll think of more later.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

A good upcoming co-op game to watch for is Blacksite: Area 51.

Left 4 Dead and Army of Two will be 2 great co-op games as well. I know AoT will be 2p offline, but I am unsure if L4D will.

So all the missions in GRAW2 aren't playable in co-op? I don't have a whole lot of time to play video games but when I do there are almost always others present and I'm more likely to play a game with another person than play alone. I've got 7 days since I bought it used at Gamestop to return/swap it so I may get something else instead.

As far as original xbox games, the first Halo is definitely something I'm going to pick up but I'm also interested in split screen action/rpg as well as racing or other multiplayer goodness. Isn't colin mcrae 05 split screen?

No idea. Forza 1 has split screen.

I can't think of a ton of ARPGs that are split screen for the Xbox, but if you want normal SP RPGs, definately go with Fable (just got reduced to $9.99) and Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Easily 3 of the best RPGs on the Xbox.
