Forums - Gaming - Shovelware? You don't know shovelware.

Rugrats wasn't shovelware, although it wasn't very good. As for Bob the Builder, there's really not much more to say on that game. And if you guys want to see shovelware, just check out some of the Gizmondo games. Go to Gamefaqs, I'll wait!

Actually, some of the games are awesome, like Trailblazer. One of the best games I've ever played, exclusive for the Gizmondo.

I'm so glad that I've never accidently bought some shit like that thinking it was going to be fun.

Like i said before NES and Super NEs were not shovelware free... That ET video is a crappy classic

That taxi game is by far the worst game I have ever seen. I can't believe that was even published. wow.

ET pissed me off as a 9yr old lad. I got so frustrated with that game. You learned to pretty much never hit the run option as you would always run straight into really hard to get out of pit.

I did beat it though. :)

Home Improvement looked like a solid fun game, the only part that sucks is, well the concept. The gameplay and all seemed pretty fun.

Animal Soccer world, is that a joke! awful....

Wow, London Cab Challenge has almost as much pop-in as GTA4! :P

Now seriously, I also do wonder how some of that crap got published :O

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

Yeah, even as a 6 year old I would tell ET sucked majorly, though I would try to play it every now and then for some reason (variety, I guess?). I never beat it, though--got way too bored whenever I played it to do that, so seeing this video, even though I knew the ending from reading about it, made me realize even more than before just how much it sucked. "Now that you've gotten the phone, you might as well wander around gathering more candy." Why? WHY?!?!? Arg.

My consoles and the fates they suffered:

Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)

A more detailed history appears on my profile.

I played home improvement, trust me, it's not fun. Not even remotely. the control is awful, the stage design is pathetic, the enemies are practically invincible to the majority of your weapons, the physics are maddening (going into a slow crawl every time there is a hill is infuriating, especially when you're running from nearly invincible enemies). Nothing about it was remotely fun.

None of those can touch Imagine: Babyz.
See now this is the difference between shovel ware and something of a different taste. Imagine babyz is probably fun for an eight year old girl. Actual thought went into that and imagine dancing or whatever the other one is, in order to be fun for little girls. London Cab Challenge and Animal Soccer are just crap. They aren't fun for anyone, they are hideous from a technical standpoint, and contain little if any entertainment value for anyone.
