Forums - Microsoft - Resident Evil 5 Trailer 720P

I missed this trailer when it came out near the end of April.  Hopefully Capcom releases more information on the game at E3 since they've been extremely quiet for the past year.

Very cool, it reminds me of Left 4 Dead, but more action-movie style.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

The speed of the zombies (or Ganados or whatever they are, maybe a hybrid?) remind me of the zombies in Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later... It would make the game extremely interesting if they were actually really fast, well interesting and maybe a little frustrating.

also scary as hell.

It's like the first time you see a fast zombie in Half Life 2. And you're safe on the roof, right? Oh wait, the zombies are scurrying up the gutter pipe! AGHh!

Son of a...

It's the SAME trailer from E3 2005 in 720p. What the hell?!

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Hehe, I know...luckily I don't care about this game yet, since it's been in development hell for years, I'm only now starting to read about it and keep up to date with it, since I'm sure it's heavily in development now.  And a Wii game would rock.  Cue fanboys:  Not Possible on wii LMAO.

My understanding was that development has been frozen or stalled, that it's very likely to be coming to the 360, etc. etc. I could most DEFINITELY be wrong, however, since this is just "what I heard from a guy who heard from a guy" type stuff.

In any case, the general impression I got was that little enough money was spent on the project by the time of the Wii/PS3 launch for an actual total scrapping of the project to be feasible. As in, they could change the intended platform if they wanted to, which they might, because the PS3 has done so poorly. Unlike FF XIII, for example, where SquareEnix has spent so much money already that they really couldn't switch platforms even if they wanted to.

I just wonder when we will hear more news?
