I plan to buy RE4 on release day, but I must say when watching the trailers for this version I am not sure I will like it. Hopefully my gut feeling is wrong, but why mess with perfection. Perhaps if I never played the GC version I would feel differently, but the control system for the GC version cannot be beat. I look forward to the Umbrella Chronicles more. It will be nice assuming the characters move like Leon in RE4 to play in the mansion without the confusing controls of the first RE.
I also intend to buy Escape from Bug Island. I think these two titles are definitely something the Wii needs - a little horror and gore. Not that I am complaining about the current releases, but it is time. Hopefully this title is not lame - has anyone heard anything about this one?

Yeah, it's as lame as lame gets. One of the EGM reviewers gave it a 1.5. The other 2 didn't give it higher than a 5 either.
Don't get escape from Bug Island I am warning everyone...
Gonna get Pokemon and RE4 and gonna try out the Bigs and Mercury Meltdown and see what I decide.

You are probably right about escape from Bug Island, but all the current reveiws are based on the import version. Could always hope they improved it a little... definitely one to be cautions about...
Too bad RE4 and some of the others aren't out a few days sooner. Wouldn't mind that as a father's day gift. lol

In my books, RE4 is as 'AAA' as you can get. An improved version, of one of the 10 best games EVER made.
Huge month with MP8, RE, Scarface, Harry Potter, Brain Training... AND Pokemon. Pokemon (Wii) would probably alone seal the month as a huge one - but with all those titles coming out...
The Wii drought is well and truly over. And the US will get Strikers early into July (from what I understand...).
PS - Bug Island sucks... big time. Don't even think about it. Wing Island is better than that one!

It's also better graphics if you have a wide screen TV (same if not wide screen), and it's only $30 instead of the typical $50 for a new wii game. So, I agree it's probably not worth it if you already played it, but I would get it over buying the a cheap gamecube version for $10-20 less.
