OT: As for Wii Sports passing Super Mario Bros., I think it will if it remains a bundle. SMB was bundled with the NES and sole 40 million. With the Wii's rapdily growing userbase, and projected sales of at LEAST 70 million HW lifetime, I see Wii Sports surpassing it by several million copies.

It will end up at, lets say, 130 million (that being conservative).
Unless nintendo explodes due to a terrorist attack to their headquarters.

Yeah, it's not even a question IF it will, but rather WHEN. :p I'd say before the end of the year maybe. Otherwise very early next year.

yes, but SMB is better game for me.

I personally don't count WiiSports as a game. I still view it as a trumped up tech demo that is free with the hardware simply to show users how the Wiimote works. If it is bundled with every single unit that gets sold in NA and Europe then it has a very unfair advantage and can't really be considered a legit competitor. Its like cheating because every Wii unit sold is another copy of WiiSports sold.

The real question I'm asking is will Galaxy , New Super Mario Bros, Brawl , MarioKart, WiiFit or any of Nintendo's other legitamet games can beat out Super Mario Bros. Their is a possibility that one or more titles will actually surpass Super Mario Bros during this generation. Even if its GTA4 arrrggg!

 If you counted doubles, Ithink i bought SMB, SMB/Duck Hunt, SMB/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (for GBC), SMB on Virtual Console, and 3 other NES cartridges of SMB by itself, and I've downloaded the ROM 4 or 5 times on different computers.

So count Rubang for 13 or 14-ish.

But I only got one Wii Sports.

The only game in that list that has the potential to top SMB sales is Wii Fit. I think DS games such as Nintendogs and NSMB desrve a mention, but likewise, it's unlikely that they will exceed its sales too.

In response to the OP, Wii Sports will surpass SMB within a years time unless Nintendo suddenly decided to stop bundling it with the console.

If it stays bundled and there isn't a Wii Sports 2.
