Forums - Website Topics - X-Play uses VG Chartz data!! ZOMG!

X-Play on G4 has used VG Chartz numbers to talk about how although the 360 may have reached 10 million in US first, it is losing Worldwide to the Wii.

I had to use my cell phone camera to take this pic off of a crappy TV set... Sorry for the bad quality.

Quality is great. Nice find.

This is BIG!!

ioi well done!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

hey, it's not like approval by x-play was needed to believe in the accuracy of this site. But it certainly helps to its popularity ;)

Excellent news for VGChartz and specifically for ioi - congratulations. the recognition keeps on coming for the hard work.

as i said in: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=26893&start=0

"VGC FTW!

Serioulsy, NPD dropped the ball this month. Like what ioi said: how did they come up with those numbers?! they are massively different from the early sales data, anacdotal evidence and the VGC survey results (and plain logic).

VGC is in for a win, enough people will contemplate NPD failure to start seeing VGC as the credible alternative, giving more detailed information and on a more regular basis with a similar level of accuracy. And for FREE."

Someone had better get the word to Neogaf! They have to censor every mention of X-Play now!

Wow, I seen the show, that is great for VG Chartz.
That should help, after the sting of NPD data, yesterday.

keep up the hard work VG Chartz, more media will notice.

Consoles LTD, end 2009, end 2010 - prediction

Wii -  68 million, 90 million - Wii HD in late 2011 - $249

360 - 38 million, 47 million - 720 in late 2010 - $299

PS3 - 31 million, 43 million - slim PS3 in mid 2009 - $299

Sweet! Congrats ioi and Vgchartz! All the hard work is paying off.

Wow, VGChartz has a big reputation now when coupled with all the mentions in major newspapers, etc. Nice work.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Bumped for well... Bumping.

ioi deserves the praise.
