So, wait... If you turn items off, you don't even have access to one character?

Even with items on... When a Smash Ball appears, you can either pick it up and turn into a character you rarely ever get to use at all, or let your opponents wreck havoc.

There better be some more to this. This is the first update that just really seems stupid.

She's not really a different character, just a different form of one character.  Samus was always intended to be primarily in her power suit, and it doesn't make much sense to have Zero Suit Samus running around on her own with Samus there as well... as far as an event to activate it goes, I actually like the idea of using her final smash.

You don't lose access to a character.

You play as Samus, and every once in a while you'll get the Smash Ball, and you'll see Samus out of her power suit. Then once you die I assume you're back in the suit. Makes sense to me, I'm fine with how it is.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

And yeah, the castle is under siege when they showed it in the trailer...big trebuchets I assume...I wonder how much destruction will hit the playing field...

But I think ZSS might be unlockable by something to use in multiplayer battles or what not... Is there precedents for this in Melee?

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

 Don't know what you mean...

In a multiplayer battle, there are occasional items called Smash Balls.  Pick one up and do a super move like the one shown there.  Samus's is a big power shot that knocks her armor off for the remainder of that life we assume.

So that's how you get Zero Suit Samus, the only known way.  Perhaps there could be the option to play as Zero Suit Samus the whole time...I doubt it though.

I like playing with no items though, as it removes almost all of the luck in the game and makes it a real match of skill. Is there no way to be able to play as Zero suit samus permanently? I'd assume there is... Wasn't there a way to start the match as sheik rather than zelda? I'm sure something similar will be in place for samus...

Here's a video from my band's last show Check out more (bigger) videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/icemanout

Sheik transforms using B-down...no item needed.

I understand what you mean about removing items for skill...but half the skill is using items, and learning how to avoid them, in my opinion.

Plus it just makes things more fun.

Anyway, regular Samus is probably better than Zero Suit Samus, so who cares hehe.

Can this game get any cooler? How much detail can they cram in there? It is a monster game allright.

I'm sure there will be a way to change to Zero Suit Samus after you beat the game or something. I can see Nintendo getting alot of "not nice" feedback from this though I personally like it. You may have to hold a button down when you select Samus or something.
