It may be the easy thing to do but there will probably be advanced combos too. If you are playing someone who knows the advanced combos I really doubt you would stand a chance using the standard combos.

 That's not how it works.

And yes, twesterm, you won't be able to do anything else while doing this.

There's no advanced combos.  When you press just A alone, you do a combo like this if you keep pressing it...or now just holding it down.

When you press a direction + A, you do a strong attack, or a Smash attack if you tap the joystick.
These attacks don't combo.

These standard combos are usually very weak...just good for adding some damage early on in a player's life.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Who does that anyone? It's all about smashes!

LOL at the last line.

Sakurai has a good sence of humour. Not a big update for Monday. I don't think many are going to use that, Smash is all about button mashing. Unless the recovery time diminishes with this.

^^ recovery time ??? since when do you recover ??? that would be news to me, oh well I hope (and it looks that way till now) that they make the controlls much like melee, they where easy but not to simple, I also enjoy games with challenging combos and special moves (Dragon Punch anybody) but thats not what Smash Brothers is about. I do really wonder how the specialls will work (like the triforce thing with link) will there be a special energy bar or will it be combo or a item ???

It's an item.

^^^ thanx I was worried it would be some kind of trick you can only do if you know the game insideout, the simpler the better (some people think simple means no challenge, all it means is more people will be able to play, why should I go to a three week boot camp just to be able to play a fun gamr)

No, i meant when you do a special move or a simple jab/kick, the character has a standard time which he is stuck at the animation of the move. Presing and holding the attack button could maybe reduce that time, making it more combo-friendly.

less than 10 minutes away. Any predictions?

Since E3 starts today they could announce something really good like Sonic.
On the other hand it might be something mediocre because it might be overwhelmed by the E3 news, so maybe a new move.
