Bah! How can one update say so much and say so little at the same time!
At least we've been getting a fairly nice string of updates for the last week. Hopefully this will continue up until E3.

Great update, and the graphics on this game still astound me... I can't believe how detailed every character is. Hard to believe this is on the Wii. So that's the second newly confirmed character in 2 weeks... man I hope this pace keeps up and we get at least 1 newly confirmed character a week. So far this has been an amazing week for updates.
I'm looking forward to a revamped Bowser. I felt that he just wasn't balanced enough in melee to ever get good with. A character like him has tons of potential if they do it right.
for once...bowser actually does look evil !
great update :D
Bowser looks so cool.
"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
I wonder if he still has that weird Bowser Car method of running.
See Ya George.
"He did not die - He passed Away"
At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
Well...really, he doesn't look much different than he did in Melee...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
It's not a huge graphical update for Bowser...though it is significant. But mainly, his look is exactly the same...
And yeah that sliding run was weird...I hope he just stomps around instead.

He certainly looks crappy here though. I think Melee looked very cool in those few dark levels, like the Metroid levels, the skyscraper level, a couple others I think. They added some shadows that made the characters look better I think. SSBB seems to do better in both the dark and the light though...great lighting effects in any place!
Also, I wonder how much work they'll put into clipping issues in SSBB. It's basically impossible to avoid characters overlapping or effects like this one overlapping...but the less the better...

I just got a new tv the other day that's twice the size of my old one, and the first thing I did (after Halo..) was play some Melee with it. Half of the fun was pausing the game and going "WTF are they doing?!?!" at the weird poses the characters were in, as well as the clipping. I suppose it would be better to minimize them, but they're more fun than anything else most of the time.
I agree Bowser doesn't look much different, actually I'm happy they didn't simplify him like for the new football game. Maybe they heavily altered his gameplay mechanics? It sounded good at first, but we all know now that the slow and strong type characters didn't do all that well in Melee.
