To those who doubt Tourney mode will be online, it's clearly written between the lines:


Of course, if you don’t have a large number of friends, you may not have much need for a tourney.

That style reminds me of Kirby Air Rides style. Oh and what a coincidence that the update is about tournament mode when I was just talking about an online tornament mode, which now is even more possible to happen with this update!

Well i'm sure this mode is online, based on what he said. So now i'm sure this game will be (at least for me) way better than Halo 3 in the sense of change between its prequel.

"Actually, you can also play this by yourself against computer opponents, so try it out if you’re so inclined."

That's the sentence afterwards, so he could be pretaining to the CPU controlled mode.

 Well that's pretty obvious, I didn't quote that line because online is written between the other lines! Why would they hint that they are gonna make it even more fun for those people if CPU controlled players are pretty much standard already in every other mode except the Subspace Emissionary.

Cool! It is nice to see that they are keeping the Tourney Mode. But no mention of online play makes me sad :(
