I'd guess that if you cancel your glide, you fall as if after a B^, but I also would guess that you can still do a B^ out of a glide, like Peach can out of her float.

I also expect it's hard to actually gain any height from gliding, and that aiming up more than a little will stall you and send you falling pretty quickly.

Also, I'm hoping for an object that lets anyone glide. Feather from SMW? Leaf from Wind Waker? Cap from SM64? Better yet: a Duck Hunt Duck or a Coo-coo.

Raccoon tail from SMB3!!! They would look so incredibly stupid, that I'm almost 100% they'll do it. =P

I don't think gliding will be unbalancing at all. Peach's float didn't cause any problems, and this looks like it'll be weaker than that.

Actually, Peach is a high tier character in Melee, and the floating really added to her strenth.

Tournament wise. I have no probelm with the gliding.
I'm just going by what I hear over at smashboards.
Though, admitedly, I really shouldn't.

I've given up on smashboards. You're either with the group mentality or not...and if you're not, nobody cares what you say.

I'm really hoping Brawl is online, cause then I can just compete with people, instead of arguing about items or wavedashing.

My stance on Brawl online:

It is not a big deal for me if the game does not have it, but I really think Nintendo/Sakurai would have dropped the ball if they didn't include some type of onine match system.

Unlike Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the Smash series definately benefits from Online Multiplayer, since the biggest draw IS the multiplayer. Even if it is bare bones.

However, Brawl does not NEED online to make it a great game.
