At first I thought those people saying shapes in the clouds looked like Bowser, Ridley, etc were just crazy fans...but it does kinda look like that...and the intro to SSB had outlines of the secret characters, so it's not unheard of to catch glimpses of characters or enemies in the background...

Yeah, but where's Ganondorf?  The cloud partially behind the master hand maybe?

I'm pretty sure that thing at the end is a minion for the main antagonist (Master Hand?). If you look at the picture you'll see two more of the purple "dark matter" forming together to the left and right of the thing, probably making more "things".

But all this is, is pure speculation. 


I was kind of thinking the little robot dude might be an innocent bystandered (he doesn't look threatening except for the 'dark matter' surrounding him) who gets overcome by the dark matter and is forced to fight the good guys.  Giving the game a corruption theme where the bad guys keep convert enemies for the protagonists to fight.

I agree with Rick, they are being formed from the dark cloud stuff not being engulfed by it, and as he pointed out (nice observation) there are 2 more being formed in the background. So yeah, these should be the new minions (like the Wire Frames in the last game and the Polygons before that).

Yeah i understand what you mean. Part of me is saying that its just a cloud and the pictures are purely in my imagination, but another part of me is saying that there is clearly a figure (or figures) in the clouds that are meant to be seen/hidden. But i'm not to sure. Only time will tell, and i hope i don't have to wait until Dc. 3 to get the answer.

 

EDIT:

I have to say, by looking at the pictures i can tell this game is going to look good (of course not HD quality) but assuming these pictures are in real-time, i would buy this game just for the music and visuals alone. It's the best, highest quality way to see your Nintendo characters (and more) in action.

If that robot thing is like the wire frames and polygons from past games then there must be other forms of it. (Like in SSBM there were male wire frames and female wire frames.)

Yeah, that's why i said that they were being formed by the dark matter from some sort of superpowerful gu, like Master Hand.

EDIT:

I may be kind of slow, but i just realized that this arena is floating in mid-air... 

You can cleary see the shadow beneath it. I'm such a fool.
