I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Just say how far you sit away from the TV. Me, I sit about 6 1/2 feet away. Far enough so that I won't need glasses in the near future.

When sitting up about 3 meters, when lieing down about 6 meters. Oftenly somwhere in between.

Oh, and translation to feet; 10 feet sitting, 20 feet lieing.

Maybe 5 meters or so. But it is a big guy so no glasses in my future either.

The distance from TV helps avoiding glasses?

You will all need glasses, contact lenses or a nice laser treatment sooner than you think, believe me. Even if you have eagles' eyes right now.

Your TV has only little to do with it, but think about the screen you're sitting in front of only a few inches while you read this.

A little less than 2 meters with a 26inch 720p HDTV. I'm very near sighted even with glasses when it comes to watching media/gaming.
