The distance from TV helps avoiding glasses?
You will all need glasses, contact lenses or a nice laser treatment sooner than you think, believe me. Even if you have eagles' eyes right now.
Your TV has only little to do with it, but think about the screen you're sitting in front of only a few inches while you read this.
