I have to give it to PS3 fans, they certainly know how to set themselves up for disappointment ...

You have a game which will certainly be well received and sell well, and knowing this you hype it up to receive review scores far beyond what it is reasonable to expect and sales which are absolutely unrealistic; this means that when it receives really a really good score (90% to 95%) and good sales it still is a disappointment.

It won't matter, this game should rock a lot of socks and the review scores shouldn't matter too much. At the very least this game is going to look amazing. I'd buy it just for that. Everything else would be icing for me as I couldn't get myself through either MGS 1 or 2... even though they were fun. I have a hard time finishing games.

I find it quite entertaining that if it only gets 95% there will be a group of people complaining about the "broken" ranking system, and if it get's 98 a different group of people will complain about the same thing =P

The game already show a couple of flaws, nothing big and almost everything will be forgive it in order to enjoy the game, but some people put to much faith in the mass market appealing of this tittle...

Reason i brought a second PS3, this game is going to be pure class.

I predict the average review score for MGS 4 are taken into account will result in a 96%+ average review score for MGS 4.

Well....it'll change Starcraft's sig. If it's really super duper awesomer than the rest of the generation's exclusives then we'll get bragging rights. Ummmm.....I dunno that's about it. Like I hear others say all the time, I will enjoy it regardless of the critic score if previous iterations of the game are any indicator, so I guess it doesn't matter at all.

The only reason I bought a PS3 was to get this game, if it was multiplatform i might have gone with a 360 when i bought a "next gen" system back in 07. From playing MGO, i think MGS4 will be a very clean, fun game.
